CVS

Nestled in the heart of Reading, PA, CVS is more than just a pharmacy—it’s your one-stop convenience store, beauty supply shop, drug store, cosmetics and perfume destination, greeting card and stationery emporium, and vitamin & supplements hub. At this local CVS location, customers discover a thoughtfully curated selection of everyday essentials and specialty items, all under one roof. From that must-have greeting card for a friend’s birthday to a hard-to-find dietary supplement, CVS Reading delivers an inviting retail environment backed by a trusted national brand.

Retail Experience

Stepping into the Reading CVS, you immediately notice a clean, organized store environment. Aisles are clearly labeled, making it easy to find cosmetics near the front, vitamins and supplements towards the back, and stationery items alongside seasonal greeting cards. Shoppers appreciate the quiet, uncrowded atmosphere—perfect for browsing without the hustle and bustle of a larger big-box retailer.

• Self-Checkout Convenience: Automated self-checkout kiosks provide a smooth, time-saving alternative for quick trips. “I like the self-checkout machines; it’s super convenient,” raves one local customer, highlighting how these stations keep line lengths short and give you back precious minutes in your day.
• Comprehensive Selection: Beyond everyday health and beauty products, CVS Reading carries an array of perfumes, specialty cosmetics, and thoughtful stationery. Whether you’re shopping for a new signature scent or a heartfelt card, the store’s neat displays and well-stocked shelves make decision-making effortless.

Pharmacy Services

At the core of CVS Reading’s offerings is its pharmacy. Customers rely on the in-store and drive-thru pharmacy for prescription fulfillment, over-the-counter remedies, and expert medical advice.

• Personalized Care: Pharmacist Sarah has become something of a local legend. One shopper shares, “Sarah helped me today in the pharmacy with getting the GoodRx app and price checking prescriptions for me. I really appreciate that she took the extra time to help.” Elsewhere, patrons praise the pharmacist on duty for always being “so helpful,” lending clarity and reassurance during stressful health situations.
• Challenges & Improvements: With popularity comes demand, and reviewers note that chronic understaffing sometimes leads to longer waits and service bottlenecks. Despite promises of a 10–20 minute turnaround, there are occasions when prescription pick-up takes significantly longer, and phone lines can be on hold for stretches of time. In some cases, the drive-thru proves inconsistent, leaving elderly or mobility-challenged customers with no choice but to wait in-store.
• Commitment to Excellence: CVS Reading’s management is keenly aware of these concerns. By cross-training staff and exploring new scheduling strategies, the pharmacy team is working to reduce wait times, boost phone responsiveness, and stabilize drive-thru hours. Every customer’s health and convenience remain top priorities.
