Adamstown Veterinary Hospital

Nestled in the heart of Denver, PA, Adamstown Veterinary Hospital is your neighborhood animal hospital and trusted veterinarian practice. From routine wellness checks to advanced dental work and holistic therapies, our mission is simple: to deliver top-tier medical care wrapped in compassion, transparency, and genuine warmth. Whether you bring in a playful puppy for vaccinations, seek chiropractic relief for an ailing senior dog, or face the heartache of saying goodbye to a beloved cat, our dedicated team treats every family member—two- or four-legged—as if they were our own.

A Culture of Compassion and Friendship

From the moment you walk through our spotless doors, you’ll notice the difference at Adamstown Veterinary Hospital. “Your staff is amazing. Everyone is always so kind and polite,” raves one grateful pet owner. That kindness starts with our front-desk crew, who greet you by name and handle scheduling with a personal touch. Led by Vet Assistant Katie and Dr. Terri Hernandez, every member of our team shares a single goal: to ease anxiety for both pets and people. When Katie crouches down to introduce herself to a new puppy or Dr. Hernandez offers a reassuring word to a nervous cat parent, they’re practicing a philosophy that runs through every aspect of our care.

Unmatched Veterinary Expertise

At Adamstown Veterinary Hospital, excellence isn’t optional—it’s expected. Our veterinarians bring years of specialized training in fields ranging from dentistry to pain management. “Dr. John is an incredible vet! He is very knowledgeable, was very compassionate…” one client says, highlighting our prowess in pet dentistry. Meanwhile, Dr. Gigliono’s holistic chiropractic service offers an alternative path to comfort, relieving muscle tension and improving mobility in dogs like Opie, who thrived after his first chiropractic session. By combining traditional medicine with holistic approaches, we tailor each treatment plan to your pet’s unique needs.

Clear Communication & Transparent Pricing

We believe that great medicine works best when you understand it. That’s why every treatment begins with an in-depth consultation. From dental treatment for Lily to exploratory diagnostics for Max, we walk you through each step, cost breakdown in hand. “Thanks for all the proactive, clear, and frequent communication about our cat’s dental treatment,” one cat parent shares. No surprises, no hidden fees—just honest information so you can make the best decisions for your four-legged family members. When surgery or advanced diagnostics are recommended, we present all options, outline associated costs, and answer your every question.

Comfort-Focused In-Room Procedures

Visiting the vet can be stressful for pets, so we’ve redesigned our process to minimize anxiety. Instead of bustling hallways and loud lobbies, most procedures—tests, injections, even checkout—happen right in your exam room. “We liked that everything was handled inside of the exam room… our pup was a lot more comfortable because he got to stay with us,” one client notes. You remain by your pet’s side from arrival to departure, fostering calm and trust. Whether it’s a simple nail trim or bloodwork, this private, hands-on approach ensures an environment where tails wag and purrs abound.

Holistic & Specialized Services

In addition to preventive care and emergency services, Adamstown Veterinary Hospital offers specialized treatments to address every aspect of your pet’s health. Our in-house dental suite tackles plaque build-up and periodontal disease before it becomes painful. For chronic pain, Dr. Gigliono’s chiropractic adjustments and holistic evaluations provide lasting relief without the over-reliance on medication. We continuously expand our service roster based on community feedback—always ensuring we deliver exactly what your companion needs.

Scheduling & Reliability

We aim for flexibility without compromising commitment. Our same-day appointments and prompt callbacks have earned praise: “The staff were able to see us the very same day I called. Everyone was extremely friendly…” Yet we recognize scheduling isn’t infallible. On rare occasions, last-minute changes occur. When that happens, our team works tirelessly to find an alternative slot and keep your pet’s health on track. We appreciate your patience and view every rescheduled visit as an opportunity to demonstrate our dedication to you and your furry family members.

Fair Pricing & Exceptional Value

Transparency is the cornerstone of our billing. Compared to their experiences elsewhere, many clients find our fees refreshingly straightforward. “My previous vet was shady and expensive so it’s nice to work with John and his staff,” notes one relieved pet owner. From wellness plans to one-off surgeries, we construct detailed estimates in your presence—and all payments occur in-room, sparing your pet any lobby-induced excitement or stress. While the majority of customers commend our reasonable rates, should questions arise, we’re always happy to review statements and clarify charges.

A Gentle Goodbye: Compassionate Euthanasia Support

Perhaps the most profound testament to our team’s heart is our end-of-life care. When families face the painful decision to say goodbye, we waive euthanasia fees and provide private, supportive spaces. “They took her back immediately… humane euthanasia. They were super kind and understanding and didn’t charge us anything,” one pet parent recalls. Holding your cherished companion in a peaceful setting, guided by voices of empathy, is a service we offer without expectation—because kindness is the greatest gift of all.
