Expert Instruction You Can Trust

At the core of EMSOM’s success lies an exceptional faculty whose blend of professional experience and teaching prowess consistently earns high praise.

• Professor Dorel’s Hands-On Mastery: Known among students as “the magician,” Lab Professor Dorel brings subject-matter expertise to life through practical demonstrations and personalized coaching. His ability to break down complex techniques into repeatable, effective methods accelerates skill development and builds student confidence.
• Professor Rachael’s Engaging Science Lessons: With a remarkable talent for translating anatomy and pathology into relatable, real-world scenarios, Science Professor Rachael demystifies challenging concepts. Students note that her clear, enthusiastic approach “blows your mind,” making topics like kinesiology and physiology both memorable and immediately applicable in clinic settings.

Hands-on Training and Clinic Experience

EMSOM’s philosophy centers on learning by doing. From day one, students are immersed in practical training that extends beyond textbooks:

• Extensive Practicum Hours: “You will get tons of hands-on learning,” say alumni who appreciate the structured practice sessions designed to reinforce every technique. Whether it’s mastering Swedish strokes or advanced deep-tissue modalities, each skill is honed through repetition and expert feedback.
• On-site Student Clinic: Under close supervision, learners begin working with real clients, applying classroom lessons in a clinical environment. This simulated practice not only refines technical abilities but also teaches essential professional skills—client intake, communication, safety, and ethics.
• Externship Pathways: EMSOM’s strong local partnerships often transform externships into job offers. Graduates emerge with both the hands-on experience and professional network needed to step directly into rewarding careers.

A Supportive, Family-Like Environment

More than just a school, EMSOM cultivates a community where collaboration and encouragement thrive. Students frequently share stories of peers rallying around one another during challenging weeks, and instructors offering extra guidance after class. Many note that “this school changed classmates to family,” creating bonds that last well beyond graduation. This nurturing atmosphere helps learners stay motivated through the program’s rapid pace and fosters lifelong professional relationships.

Comprehensive Medical-Focused Curriculum

EMSOM’s 700-hour curriculum is uniquely designed to meet the demands of the growing medical massage field. Beyond relaxation techniques, students delve deep into:

• Anatomy & Physiology: Detailed study of musculoskeletal, circulatory, and nervous systems.
• Pathology & Ethics: Understanding contraindications, client safety, and professional standards.
• Medical Massage Modalities: Myofascial release, trigger point therapy, sports massage, and more.
• Business Foundations: Practice management, client retention strategies, and ethical billing.

This robust academic framework ensures graduates not only pass licensure exams but also excel in specialized clinical roles, from rehabilitation centers to sports teams.

Exam Preparation and Career Readiness

Success on the MBLEX and job placement are top priorities at EMSOM. The school’s targeted exam-prep workshops, practice exams, and review sessions demystify test content and build confidence. As one alumnus shared, “Thanks to the comprehensive education and support I received, I successfully passed the MBLEX and feel confident in my skills.” Beyond licensure, career services guide students in resume building, interview techniques, and professional networking, ensuring a seamless transition from campus to career.

Administrative and Financial Aid Support

Navigating enrollment, paperwork, and financing can be daunting, but EMSOM’s administrative team—led by financial aid specialist LeeAnn—makes the process seamless and stress-free. Students consistently highlight LeeAnn’s patience and attention to detail:
