About the workshop
Paint a glowing jellyfish on a 16 by 20 inch canvas under blacklight, guided step by step by artist Laela. The session runs Saturday mornings at the Exeter Township studio on Perkiomen Avenue in Reading. Painters of any age are welcome, and the artwork is recommended for ages 6 and up. These daytime classes often draw a mix of kids and adults, so grown ups are encouraged to pick up a brush too.
All paint and supplies are provided. We use acrylic paint, which is non toxic but does stain fabric, so wear clothing you would not mind getting a little paint on. Aprons are available. Plan to arrive about 10 to 15 minutes early to check in, get smocked and settle in, since late arrivals may not be able to paint. Feel free to bring snacks and drinks. The studio is bring your own beverage, alcohol is for guests 21 and over, cups are provided and you should bring your own ice.
Add ons can be chosen when you reserve, including a glitter glue pen and a do it yourself scented soy wax candle in your pick of scents. Candle makers should come 30 minutes early.
