Whether you’re hunting for the latest fashions or refreshing your living room, this locally cherished retailer offers an expansive mix of clothing, cosmetics, fashion accessories, furniture, home goods, jewelry, and shoes. As both an in-store and online shopping hub, Boscov’s invites everyone to explore its aisles, uncover hidden gems, and enjoy a straightforward, value-driven shopping experience.

Unbeatable Pricing & Value

Customers consistently rave about Boscov’s rock-bottom prices and deep discounts across every department. From apparel to housewares, the store’s “best deals in town!” ensure you’ll walk away feeling like you’ve outsmarted high-street markups. One satisfied shopper shared, “Great prices on furniture—normally about 40% off the regular store,” while another enthused, “I purchased a 10-piece Simply Calphalon stainless steel set of cookware for $89.” At Boscov’s, scoring high-end items at a fraction of their usual cost isn’t just the exception—it’s the rule.

Treasure-Hunt Selection & Variety

With thousands of SKUs spanning fashion and home, every visit to Boscov’s can feel like embarking on a treasure hunt. Shoppers delight in the constantly rotating inventory, from runway-inspired dresses to on-trend cosmetics and seasonal décor. It can sometimes be “a bit hit or miss,” as one review put it, but when you “hit it big,” the payoff is unbeatable. Variety is part of the charm—you never quite know what stylish surprise awaits around the next rack or aisle.

Stellar Staff & Personalized Service

A standout feature of Boscov’s Reading location is its friendly, highly attentive team. Whether you’re testing skincare in the cosmetics department or loading a power-lift recliner, employees go the extra mile. “Very helpful staff—they will help you load large items into your vehicle,” raves one patron. Another singled out the manager as “the true star,” praising his professionalism, compassion, and follow-through. From guiding special-needs purchases to ensuring every customer feels heard, the Boscov’s team elevates a routine shopping trip into a genuinely supportive experience.

Store Atmosphere & Organization

Shoppers appreciate the spacious, well-lit interior and clear signage that makes navigation simple. “Always clean. Lots of parking,” one visitor noted, underscoring the stress-free environment. That said, some clothing racks can become disorganized and might not always be sorted by size or style. While a more streamlined layout could enhance the shopping flow, many customers believe the hunt for hidden gems more than compensates for these minor quirks.

Convenience & Multi-Channel Shopping

Whether you prefer to stroll the aisles in person or click “add to cart” from the comfort of home, Boscov’s provides a seamless experience. The store’s clear pricing tags ensure “what you see is what you get,” and online shoppers benefit from the same value-packed deals as in-store visitors. Ample parking and accessible entrances add to the hassle-free visit, making it easy to swing by on your way to dinner or dedicate a leisurely afternoon to browsing.

Checkout & Technology Updates

While most transactions wrap up quickly, a few shoppers have encountered occasional system slow-downs at peak times. “Checkout can be slow,” admits one customer, and computer hiccups have led to the occasional line. However, management steps in promptly to resolve issues, with one manager even fielding complex orders and frustrated guests with poise and efficiency. Ongoing upgrades aim to reduce wait times and keep the final step of your shopping trip as enjoyable as the rest.

Quality Assurance & Return Flexibility

As an outlet-style department store, some merchandise may show slight imperfections or minor blemishes—part of the trade-off for ultra-low prices. Customers appreciate that Boscov’s stands by its products, honoring exchanges when necessary. One reviewer recalled, “The store honored an exchange when an item had a major defect upon unboxing.” This commitment to customer satisfaction, paired with a generous return policy, helps shoppers feel confident in every purchase.
