Plant Variety and Selection (Positive)

Shoppers praise Glick’s extensive assortment, including seasonal vegetables, culinary herbs, indoor houseplants, succulents, tropicals, and hard-to-find perennials. Special events like Succulent Plant Days showcase rare varieties and rotating stock, encouraging repeat visits. This wide selection supports diverse gardening projects and appeals to both beginners and experienced gardeners.

Pricing and Value (Mixed)

Overall, customers find Glick’s prices competitive and fair, especially given plant quality and variety. A few reviewers note that smaller perennials can carry a higher price tag compared to big-box retailers. Yet many feel that the combination of healthy stock, knowledgeable staff assistance, and specialty offerings justifies the slightly elevated costs.

Staff Expertise and Friendliness (Positive)

Knowledgeable and courteous staff are a recurring positive theme. Shoppers frequently mention specific employees, particularly Tammy, for her deep product knowledge and willingness to guide customers through plant selection, care instructions, and troubleshooting. This level of expertise fosters trust and supports successful gardening outcomes.

Seasonal Events and Community Atmosphere (Positive)

Glick’s Greenhouse hosts free, community-focused events throughout the year. The Annual Poinsettia Show, with its creative themes and holiday displays, is a seasonal highlight and local tradition. Workshops, entertainment, and complimentary refreshments—such as hot dogs and ice cream—create a family-friendly atmosphere that brings neighbors together and enhances the shopping experience.

Store Layout and Facilities (Positive)

Recent renovations have resulted in an airy, well-lit greenhouse with clear signage and dedicated sections for different plant types. Customers report that organized displays and wide aisles simplify browsing, while designated seating areas and refreshment stands add convenience during events.

Plant Quality and Health (Positive)

Visitors consistently remark on the vigor and health of plants at Glick’s. Well-maintained stock—watered and cared for on site—translates to robust growth once transplanted at home. Many attribute their own gardening successes to the initial quality of plants purchased at Glick’s.

Potential Drawbacks (Mixed)

While most feedback is positive, a minority of shoppers mention that certain perennials, particularly smaller specimens, can cost more than expected. Shoppers seeking large-quantity, low-cost options may compare prices with larger retail chains. However, these customers often acknowledge that the specialized selection and staff support at Glick’s Greenhouse offer added value not found elsewhere.
