Jolan Kennels

Nestled in the heart of Reading, Pennsylvania, Jolan Kennels offers a warm, family-oriented environment where your dog or cat can relax, play, and thrive while you’re away. As a locally owned and operated kennel, we understand that leaving your four-legged family member behind can be stressful. That’s why our mission is simple: to treat every pet as one of our own, providing attentive care, clean and comfortable accommodations, and the peace of mind you deserve.

Exceptional Attentiveness & Caring Staff

At Jolan Kennels, we believe the best care starts with genuine compassion. Our team of dedicated pet professionals has earned praise for going above and beyond, forming bonds with each guest and anticipating their needs. “Staff attentive and cared for our pets wonderfully!” raves one happy customer. Another adds, “Two of the women that worked/work there are absolutely amazing.” From daily playtime and individualized feeding routines to special attention for anxious or elderly pets, our staff treats your animal like part of the family.

Flexible Scheduling & Last-Minute Accommodations

Life is unpredictable, and travel plans can change in a pinch. That’s why we’re proud to offer flexible booking options and same-day or last-minute accommodations whenever possible. Our front-desk team works tirelessly to secure the dates you need, even during peak seasons. As one client enthused, “She helped me on short notice and accommodated my crazy dog,” and another shared, “Worked with us on dates we needed.” You can count on Jolan Kennels to be proactive and resourceful, making your reservation process as seamless as possible.

Clean Facilities & Competitive Pricing

A spotless environment is crucial to your pet’s health and comfort. Our boarding rooms and exercise yards undergo rigorous daily cleaning, ensuring fresh bedding, sanitization of toys, and secure fencing. Customers frequently highlight our “super clean” spaces and “very reasonable prices,” noting that Jolan Kennels represents outstanding value in the Reading area. While our affordability does not compromise standards, we continually review our pricing structure to remain competitive and deliver excellent service at every price point.

Commitment to Ongoing Improvement

At Jolan Kennels, we listen closely to feedback and embrace opportunities to grow. We recognize that timely communication is vital, and we’ve taken steps to enhance our responsiveness—upgrading our phone system, expanding staff availability, and implementing a streamlined messaging platform. We know our clients sometimes experience delays—“I immediately placed a call and left a voicemail requesting a call back. I’m still waiting to hear back”—and we are dedicated to improving callback times and maintaining transparent, proactive outreach.

We also understand that the safety and well-being of your pet hinge on rigorous supervision and secure handling of personal items. To address concerns around pet health and belongings security, we have tightened intake procedures, introduced detailed item-tracking logs, and reinforced staff training on safe feeding and play practices. These measures are designed to prevent incidents—like pets consuming something they shouldn’t or personal blankets going missing—and to restore trust with every family we serve.
