Kristy's Pet Palace

Nestled in the heart of Reading, PA, Kristy’s Pet Palace has earned a reputation as the region’s premier pet groomer—where every furry friend is treated like family. Owner and lead groomer Kristy brings warmth, compassion, and exceptional skill to every appointment, ensuring that tails wag and purrs abound long after pets leave her salon. Whether your dog needs a stylish trim or your cat could use a comforting lion cut, Kristy’s dedication to individualized care sets her apart among local pet groomers.

Personalized, Compassionate Care

From the moment you step through the door, you’ll notice Kristy’s genuine affection for animals. Customers say, “Kristy cares for my dogs like they are her own,” and it shows in the way she reads each pet’s body language and adjusts her approach. Nervous pups receive one-on-one attention until they feel at ease; anxious rescues are given extra time to build trust. By understanding each animal’s unique temperament and needs, Kristy transforms potentially stressful grooming sessions into calm, confidence-building experiences.

Expert Grooming & Styling

At Kristy’s Pet Palace, grooming is both an art and a science. Clients rave that “He comes back looking fantastic,” and that “She gave my cat the cutest lion cut.” With advanced techniques honed over years of hands-on experience, Kristy tailors each trim and bath to your pet’s breed, coat type, and personality. From breed-standard scissoring to creative breed-neutral styling, every haircut is executed with precision and flair. The result? A polished, camera-ready look that highlights your pet’s best features.

Beyond Grooming: Holistic Pet Health

What truly distinguishes Kristy’s Pet Palace is the veterinary-level insight woven into each visit. One grateful client reports, “If it weren’t for her, our Chance would still be suffering with horrible skin allergies.” Kristy’s dietary consultations delve into nutrition recommendations that resolve chronic issues—sometimes within days. She recently suggested eliminating chicken from a client’s pup diet; within twelve days, the dog was transformed. By integrating grooming with hands-on health advice, Kristy supports long-term animal well-being beyond the salon chair.

Convenience & Flexible Scheduling

We know your life is busy, so Kristy’s Pet Palace offers weekend slots and flexible weekday appointments to fit every schedule. Many clients appreciate her Saturday availability, calling it “super convenient” for work-week obligations. Even for erratic shifts, Kristy goes the extra mile: “I have a very erratic work schedule and Kristy accommodated me.” While demand can be high—some services book out months in advance—Kristy proactively offers alternative times or wait-list notifications so you never miss a spot.

Responsive Communication & Follow-Up

Outstanding service doesn’t end when your pet leaves the salon. Kristy sets herself apart with proactive check-ins at one, two, and three weeks post-appointment—“What groomer texts you to see how your dog is doing?” This follow-up reflects her genuine concern for long-term pet comfort and lets you know she’s always available to answer questions or address concerns. Though occasional message delays are noted, most clients praise her responsiveness and appreciate thoughtful reminders for upcoming visits.

Affordability Meets Quality

High-end grooming doesn’t have to carry a high-end price tag. Patrons consistently note that Kristy’s rates are “very reasonable” and “competitive,” especially given the salon’s personalized attention and premium results. From routine sanitary trims to complete breed cuts, every service delivers exceptional value. Nail trims, in particular, are fast and stress-free—often completed in just ten minutes—making Kristy the go-to for pets who hate having their paws handled.
