Lighthouse Christian Center

Discover a place where faith comes alive, hearts are united, and lives are transformed. Lighthouse Christian Center, located in the heart of Reading, PA, is more than just a church—it’s a spiritual beacon for those seeking authentic connection with God and a genuine sense of belonging.

A Vibrant Spiritual Home

From the moment you step through our doors, you’ll sense a deep, tangible presence of the Holy Spirit. Members and first-time guests alike often remark, “Outstanding place to get a good dose of spiritual things. The Lord is definitely in this place.” Whether you’re simply exploring faith or you’ve walked with Christ for years, every worship service is designed to draw you closer to God’s heart.

Inspiring Worship Experiences

Our worship gatherings are known across Reading for their dynamic blend of heartfelt music and powerful preaching. You’ll experience engaging worship songs that lift your spirit, followed by Bible-based sermons that challenge and encourage. As one reviewer put it, “POWERFUL PACKED PREACHING FROM THE HOLY BIBLE. YOU CAN DEFINITELY FEEL GOD.” Our worship team and pastors work hand in hand to create moments where heaven touches earth, helping you encounter God in fresh, life-changing ways.

Compassionate Leadership

Pastor A. Behm and his wife, Sis. Irma, are at the heart of Lighthouse Christian Center’s nurturing environment. Their genuine care for each person’s spiritual journey creates an atmosphere of trust and healing. Members consistently praise Pastor Behm as “a true man of God” whose “kindhearted” approach makes everyone feel valued. Many guests share how they wish there were “more than one of him,” attesting to his wisdom and the profound impact his ministry has on families and individuals.

Supportive Community and Small Groups

At Lighthouse Christian Center, you’re never just a face in the crowd—you’re family. “You are a guest once, then you are treated as family,” say many new attendees who find warm greetings and lasting friendships in our congregation. Our robust lineup of small-group programs offers something for everyone:

• Bible Studies that dive deep into Scripture, equipping you to apply God’s Word in your daily life.
• Support Groups that provide a safe, faith-filled space for encouragement—whether you’re navigating life’s challenges or celebrating victories.
• Specialized gatherings, such as our women’s encouragement groups, which members describe as “a straight and narrow path to Jesus.”

These intimate settings foster genuine camaraderie, accountability, and spiritual growth, allowing participants to share burdens and celebrate breakthroughs together.

Transformational Impact

Stories of deliverance and answered prayers are part of our DNA at Lighthouse Christian Center. From individuals set free from addiction—“He delivered me from drugs and alcohol and many things!!”—to heartfelt testimonies of healing and provision, we believe in a God who transforms lives. Our church is a place where despair gives way to hope and where brokenness meets restoration.

Hybrid Services: Online & In-Person Flexibility

In times of uncertainty, faith communities must adapt—and Lighthouse Christian Center rose to the challenge. We offer both in-person and live-streamed services, ensuring that no one misses a moment of worship or connection. Visitors appreciate this flexibility, noting, “They have been hosting service online and in person at times. If you visit you will feel welcomed like no other church in Reading, PA.” Whether you join us in our sanctuary or tune in from home, you’ll experience the same warmth, spiritual depth, and community care.

Outreach and Community Impact

Our commitment to Reading extends far beyond Sunday mornings. Co-Pastor Tony Romans and Brother Richie lead our active outreach initiatives across the city—bringing the love of Christ to Penn Street and beyond. They’re often seen engaging neighbors, hosting community events, and sharing the Gospel in practical, hands-on ways. Their dedication exemplifies our mission: to be a shining light in Reading, offering hope and help where it’s needed most.
