A Historic Setting with Modern Upgrades

Originally built to accommodate rail travelers and regional visitors, the Pottsville Hotel retains a sense of nostalgia in its architecture and character. You’ll find vintage hallways and classic molding alongside refreshed décor—our ongoing renovation project aims to strike the perfect balance between heritage and modern comfort. While some guests have noticed areas still awaiting updates, our team is hard at work replacing worn carpets, fixing fixtures, and brightening common spaces. By dining in our new bar or returning for an evening game night, you’re not only enjoying great food and entertainment; you’re supporting improvements that will enhance every future stay.

Restful Accommodations

No matter which of our guest rooms you choose, you’ll discover what many visitors praise most: comfortable beds. Thoughtfully selected mattresses, crisp linens, and sturdy pillows combine to ensure a good night’s sleep. Several delighted guests have commented, “It was quiet and my room was clean with no stains… bed was comfortable,” and “The bed was clean and comfortable. Good shower pressure and clean towels.” We’re committed to building on that feedback by maintaining consistent housekeeping standards—continuously training our staff to ensure fresh linens, dust-free surfaces, and spotless bathrooms.

Exceptional Service from Dedicated Team Members

At Pottsville Hotel, people are our greatest asset. Guests frequently single out our team members for going above and beyond. The New Bar: Wings, Games, and a Social Scene

One of the most exciting recent additions is our on-site bar and game area. Perfect for guests and local patrons alike, this space hosts weekly game nights, darts, and shuffleboard. And don’t leave without tasting our crispy, flavor-packed wings—guests rave, “Just opened the bar area with game nights and a nice kitchen menu. I tried the wings. Great!!!” Pair your order with craft beers from nearby breweries for an authentic Schuylkill County experience.

Amenities to Fit Your Travel Style

• Complimentary Wi-Fi: Stream your favorite shows, stay in touch with business contacts, and share your trip highlights online.
• Breakfast Offerings: Kickstart your morning with grab-and-go options. Our light continental selections are simple but designed to get you out the door well-fed.
• Fitness Corner: While not a full-scale gym, our fitness nook offers basic equipment for a quick workout.

We understand that some guests have found these offerings basic or not quite what they expected. Your feedback is guiding us as we explore ways to enhance breakfast variety and fitness amenities in coming months.

Parking & Accessibility

Convenient on-site parking is available, though spaces require a guest pass and can fill quickly during peak events. A secondary lot across the street offers additional spots, but guests should be prepared to walk steps to reach the lobby. We’re actively reviewing signage and arranging smoother check-in procedures to eliminate any confusion about permits or pass locations.

Safety & Neighborhood

Our hotel is part of a bustling downtown community, and the surrounding streets showcase both local color and activity. While some guests have reported concerns about non-guests loitering, we’ve increased lighting in common areas, stationed staff at the front desk around the clock, and work closely with local authorities to maintain a secure environment. Your peace of mind is our priority, and we continue to evolve our security measures in response to guest feedback.
