SURGE VOLLEYBALL: $10 Open Gym for Junior and Adult Players

Open gym at Surge Volleyball costs $10, for adult players and for all junior players alike. Sign-up for all open gyms is required and must be done in advance. Adult open play is open to anyone in the local area, and every adult participant signs a waiver and pays the fee before stepping on the court.

Surge Volleyball is a volleyball club and gym in Fleetwood, at 110 W Arch St. Adult sessions run Fridays from September through May, with junior girls sessions on Sundays. Times are posted with the registration listings, and the schedule is updated often.

The club is built around coaching. Sessions are led by staff who give personalized feedback and run drills for serving, passing, setting, hitting, and defense, with game-like scenarios mixed in. Families talk about the mentorship-minded approach and the way open gym exercises are set up to include everyone on the floor.

There is more than open gym here. Skills clinics put junior players through coach-led drills on targeted skills, priced at $10 for Surge players and $40 for non-Surge players, with spots limited and early sign-up required. Open gyms and tryouts are open to all players regardless of club affiliation.
