About the event
Colombian singer and songwriter Fonseca brings his blend of pop, rock, vallenato and the traditional rhythms of the Colombian Caribbean to the Santander Performing Arts Center. Born in Bogota and known simply by his last name, he has built a catalog of Latin Grammy winning songs and albums since his debut, including the breakthrough "Te Mando Flores" and later work such as Gratitud, Ilusion, Agustin and Tropicalia.
His songwriting leans on everyday stories and the emotions behind them, and his recent album, Antes Que El Tiempo Se Vaya, turns toward time, family, memory and gratitude while moving through bolero, salsa, vallenato, merengue and other tropical styles. He has also explored symphonic and collaborative formats, including recordings with the National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia and a Latin Grammy winning tropical song with Juan Luis Guerra.
Expect a night of warm, danceable music from one of Colombia's most recognized voices, in the intimate setting of the Santander Performing Arts Center in downtown Reading. Doors open at 7:00 PM.
Hosted by Santander Performing Arts Center on BerksConnect.
