About the event
Matthew West brings the Jesus Is King Tour to the Santander Performing Arts Center for an evening of contemporary Christian music built around singing together. The set draws on newer material including "Good" and "Jesus Is King," along with songs his audiences already know well, among them "Don't Stop Praying," "The God Who Stays," "Unashamed," and "Truth Be Told."
West is one of the most recognized singer-songwriters in Christian music, with a long list of No. 1 radio singles as both an artist and a writer, plus GRAMMY nominations, GMA Dove Awards, K-LOVE Fan Awards, an American Music Award, and a Billboard Music Award. His songwriting credits reach well beyond his own records, with cuts recorded by Michael W. Smith, Amy Grant, Casting Crowns, Rascal Flatts, and others. He is also an author and podcast host, and he co-founded the nonprofit ministry popwe with his father, Pastor Joe West.
Expect a night shaped by storytelling as much as by music, with themes of faith, humility, and grace running through the songs. The downtown Reading theater offers an intimate setting for the kind of show where the room tends to sing along.
Hosted by Santander Performing Arts Center on BerksConnect.
