Reading Symphony Orchestra

About the event
The Reading Symphony Orchestra takes the stage at the Santander Performing Arts Center for a program centered on Mahler's Symphony No. 4. Doors open at 6:30 PM, giving you time to settle in before the music begins at 7:30 PM.
Mahler's Fourth is among the most approachable of his symphonies, built on graceful melodies and chamber-like textures rather than the massive forces of his other works. The finale brings in a solo soprano voice, setting a poem that imagines heaven through a child's eyes. It is a piece that rewards close listening in a room built for orchestral sound.
The Santander Performing Arts Center sits at 136 North 6th Street in downtown Reading, within walking distance of restaurants and parking. Group arrangements are available for parties of ten or more through the venue's group sales contact.
Hosted by Santander Performing Arts Center on BerksConnect.
