Rock Orchestra By Candlelight

About the event
The Rock Orchestra By Candlelight brings its candlelit take on rock and metal to the Santander Performing Arts Center on December 6. Classically trained musicians and vocalists perform orchestral arrangements of songs made famous by acts such as Metallica, AC/DC, Rage Against The Machine, Guns N' Roses, Linkin Park, Evanescence and My Chemical Romance, trading amplifiers for strings without losing the weight of the originals.
The production leans into atmosphere. Masked players perform surrounded by a sea of candles, with dramatic lighting and a gothic visual design that turns familiar anthems into something closer to a cinematic ritual. Sweeping melodies sit alongside heavier passages, so the sound moves between delicate and thunderous across the evening.
Founded in 2020 by producer Nathan Reed, the group tours as a rotating collective of instrumentalists and singers and has built a following among rock fans across Europe and the United States. It is a good fit for anyone who grew up on these records, as well as for listeners who simply enjoy hearing a well played orchestra in a beautiful downtown Reading theater. Note that the show may include strobe lighting.
Hosted by Santander Performing Arts Center on BerksConnect.
