Settle in beneath the dome of the Neag Planetarium for an evening yoga session held under a sky full of stars. A certified instructor leads the class, with a gentle pace built around relaxation rather than exertion, so the hour suits newer students as comfortably as regular practitioners.
The planetarium setting is what makes this one different from a studio class. The projected night sky overhead and the quiet of the theater give the practice an unhurried, calming feel, and it is an easy way to spend a winter evening at the Reading Public Museum campus on Museum Road.
Participants should bring their own yoga mat and a water bottle. This session opens a new run of the fall series, and anyone interested in attending the full set of classes can reach out to the Museum directly. Should weather affect a class, the Museum posts updates on its website and social media, and make-up dates are added to the end of the series.
