Reentry Help for People With a Justice Record From Connections Work

The Reentry Resource Center is operated by Connections Work and is a single point of contact for people in Berks County who have current or prior justice system involvement and need help getting to community resources.

When you come in, staff do a brief assessment to help determine your immediate needs. From there you get assistance for basic needs, along with information and referrals to services in the community, and answers to your questions about next steps.

You can call or come in Monday through Friday, 8 to 5. Walk-ins are welcome, and there is also an option to schedule an appointment. The phone number is 484.260.3860. The office is at 19 N. 6th St, 4th Floor, Reading, PA 19601.

Connections Work also puts out the Ready to Reenter Resource Guide, which is designed to help connect returning citizens with services in Berks County. It covers basic needs like employment, identification and clothing, and also gives information for probation and parole, domestic relations and other government agencies. The guide is updated every few months. Corrections or changes can be sent to referral@connectionswork.org.
