Four-Year Electrical Apprenticeship From IBEW Local 743 in Reading

To qualify for the aptitude test, your high school, GED, or college transcript must show a passing grade in Algebra. Both the application and the transcript are required, and applications without a qualifying transcript will not be processed. If the transcript is not received, your application will be archived and not processed.

- Click "Submit Application Online at TradeSchool," then complete and submit your application. You cannot submit it without uploading your transcript.
- You will receive an automatic confirmation email once submitted.
Transcripts may be uploaded directly during the application process. If you do not have your transcript, you may ask your school to send it directly to the apprentice office, by email to jenng@ibew743.org or by mail to IBEW LU743 Reading Joint Apprenticeship, 20 Morgan Drive, Reading, PA 19608. It will be added to your account once received, and you will be notified that your application is complete.
Once your application and transcript are received, you will be notified of your aptitude test date.
Application intake is open effective September 1st 2026 for the 2027-2028 school year.
