A food pantry is a place you visit on its distribution day and leave with groceries, usually once a month. Some let you choose from the shelves; others hand you a packed box, and mobile markets bring fresh produce to a parking lot for an hour. Most follow the state income guideline for federal food and ask you to sign a form; an ID helps but is rarely required.
