Berks County Safe Parking Lot for People Living in Their Cars

The Berks Coalition to End Homelessness runs a Safe Parking Lot in Berks County where people experiencing homelessness can park their cars overnight safely and legally. The lot has a locked gate to prevent unauthorized access and plenty of safety lights, and the address is only shared with those who need the resource.

The lot also offers restrooms, hygiene products, and a phone charging station. People living in their cars can also get case management and connection to other resources through BCEH.

To get in, contact Kiara Rodriguez at kiara@bceh.org or call BCEH at 610-372-7222 during business hours, which are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 3:30pm. On evenings, weekends, and holidays, call 2-1-1 and ask about the Safe Parking Lot. For more information about the program, contact Mike Noll at mike@bceh.org or call 610-372-7222. The BCEH office is at 600 Penn St, Reading, PA 19601.
