Free legal aid & legal help in Berks County
MidPenn Legal Services is the free civil legal aid office for the county, the Public Defender represents anyone charged with a crime who cannot afford a lawyer, and the Bar Association refers everyone else. The county court publishes self-help forms, keeps a law library open to the public, and helps anyone file for a protection order.
