Are you interested in working as substitute teacher but you don't have a teaching certificate? Only available one or two days per week? No problem! The Schuylkill Valley School District is now offering a guest teacher program. Rate of pay is $150/day, $160/day for 10 or more cumulative days in a school year retroactive to the first day of work in the school year. Anyone holding a bachelor's degree in any field from any accredited college or university is welcome to apply. Successful candidates will complete six hours of online training on topics such as classroom management, lesson plans, and special education, and will be prepared to enter the rewarding role of substitute teacher. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in any field from any accredited college or university, demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others, and acceptable record of attendance required.
