Job Summary

The Medical Lab Scientist for Micro and Point of Care:

Obtains or receives specimens.

Performs clinical laboratory tests by standardized procedures.

Understands method principles.

Performs quality control and preventive maintenance.

Interprets results accurately, acceptably and within critical limits.

Works independently, organizing work to meet established deadlines.

Validates all data obtained.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science - OR - Bachelor's in some other field of study AND completion of a Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science program - OR - MT-HEW certification will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree

Experience

Clinical Laboratory Science Experience Required

Blood Bank Experience Preferred

Certification and Licensure

ASCP or AMT eligible

Required Skills

Computer Skills to include use and navigation

Excellent Communications Skills

Multitasking
