Security Officer II

Job Summary

Work Schedule: Per Diem Night Shift, hours are 10:45pm-7:15am

Part of the Patrol Division, the Security Officer 2 plays an essential role in maintaining a secure environment by patrolling assigned areas, monitoring for suspicious activities, enforcing rules and regulations, and responding to calls for service and emergencies.

This position typically involves a combination of foot and vehicle patrols to maintain visibility and deter potential security threats.

The officer is also expected to handle more complex security challenges, serve as a lead during incidents, and report and document any occurrences that may pose a risk to safety or security.

Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.

High School Diploma - OR - GED - OR - Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education

• FEMA IS-100.C

• Current Valid Driver's License
• IAHSS Advanced Level Certification (CAHSO) - Must be obtained within 12 months of hire/placement
• IAHSS Supervisor Level Certification (CHSS) - Must be obtained within 18 months of hire/placement
• BLS Certification
• IAHSS Basic Level Certification (CHSO) - Must be obtained within 6 months of hire/placement
