Veterinary Technician

Duties

• Assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, and surgical/dental procedures, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
• Perform animal restraint and handling while ensuring safety for both animals and staff.
• Draw blood for testing and place IV Catheters.
• Maintain detailed medical records, documenting treatments, patient progress and client communications.
• Prepare animals for surgery and X-rays, monitor anesthesia and recover patients after procedures.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians.
• Dispense and refill pet medication as well as instruct owners on administration.
• Schedule recheck appointments and discuss home care instructions with clients.
• Maintain cleanliness of the hospital.

Requirements

• At least ONE Year experience as a Veterinary Technician.
• Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and veterinary procedures.
• Experience with drawing blood, laboratory techniques, X-ray operation, animal catheterization, and aseptic techniques.
• Ability to perform animal restraint effectively across various species.

License/Certification:

• veterinary experience - great than 1 year (Required)
