Youth Pastor

West Lawn United Methodist Church is searching for a Youth Pastor to succeed Trisha Rabold and lead its established ministry with students in grades 6-12 and their families. The church seeks a gifted, relational, and spiritually mature leader who loves Jesus and young people and is passionate about helping students grow in faith, build meaningful relationships, discover their gifts, serve others, and take active part in church life. Responsibilities include providing spiritual and organizational leadership for the youth ministry: weekly youth gatherings and discipleship opportunities, biblical teaching, Confirmation, retreats, mission trips and service opportunities, special events, pastoral care, parent communication, volunteer development, student leadership, outreach, and integrating youth into the broader worship and ministry life of the church. The ideal candidate will show a mature and growing Christian faith, a genuine calling to ministry with teenagers, strong relational, teaching, communication, leadership, and organizational skills, and the ability to recruit, equip, and encourage adult volunteers and student leaders. A bachelor's degree in ministry, theology, Christian education, youth ministry, education, counseling, social work, or a related field is preferred, but candidates with significant youth ministry experience, demonstrated leadership ability, and strong biblical and theological competency are encouraged to apply; ordination is not required.
