Pokeno is a group card game played with boards and chips, and Berks Encore runs a regular game at its Reading Wellness & Activity Center. Players gather in the lower-level game room on Wednesday mornings.
The game is part of the center's lineup of activities for older adults, alongside cards, crafts, bingo and wellness classes. No experience is needed to join, and regulars can show newcomers how the boards work.
