Children get to practice reading out loud to a therapy dog, a listener who is happy to sit and pay attention. Readers can bring a book and read as much or as little as they like, or simply spend the time petting and cuddling the dog instead.

This is a relaxed way for young readers to build confidence with their reading skills. It takes place at the Brandywine Community Library on Tower Drive in Topton.

Spots are arranged ahead of time, so call or email the library to sign up. There is no cost to take part.
