About the workshop
Learn the basics of hand embroidery in this workshop at Clay on Main in Oley. Kathleen Walck of Local Folk Creative Studio in Kutztown leads the session, and you make a three inch hoop art piece to take home.
Students learn three to five basic stitches and how to finish the back of the hoop for a neat, completed look. A variety of imagery, background fabrics and thread colors are on hand, so you can customize your piece. No experience is necessary, and the workshop is best for ages 12 and up.
