This advanced ceramics class at GoggleWorks is for makers who are ready to work at a larger scale. You choose your approach, either handbuilding or going big on the wheel, and learn techniques for constructing bold, large forms with strength, balance and creative impact. Bri Shimer and Justin George lead the class.
Sessions run on Wednesday afternoons in the Ceramics Studio in Building 3 on the GoggleWorks campus. An added glaze day is set aside so large pieces can be finished. Please wear clothes you do not mind getting dirty.
The class is built for students at an intermediate to advanced level, so you should already be comfortable with basic ceramics work. Registration is handled through the GoggleWorks class page, and scholarships are available. Students under 18 enrolling in an adult course need written permission from a parent or guardian, which the programs office can arrange. If there is anything that would help us make the class work better for you, add a note when you register.
