About the workshop
In this one day family sewing workshop at GoggleWorks, you and your child make a classic sock monkey using simple sewing techniques and your own ideas. You learn basic construction and finishing skills, and you take your handmade companion home at the end of the afternoon.
The workshop runs on a Saturday afternoon in a single session and is open to all skill levels. Louella Formica teaches. An adult must take part alongside the child, and each adult and child attending needs their own spot, so register for everyone who is coming.
The class meets in the Textiles Studio, room 316, on the third floor of GoggleWorks at 201 Washington Street in Reading. If you are not sure where to go, staff at the front desk can point you to the studio. Sign up through the class page on the GoggleWorks website. Scholarships are available through GoggleWorks.
