In this two-session class at GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, you weave a blanket basket: a large storage basket sized for blankets, afghans and throws. You learn basket weaving methods and build a sturdy piece you can use at home. It is open to all skill levels, so no past weaving experience is needed. The instructor is Susan Dirsa.
The class meets Fridays from 10 AM to 1 PM, with a run listed for October 2 and 9, 2026. It is held in the Textiles Studio, room 316, on the third floor of GoggleWorks at 201 Washington St in Reading. The campus is accessible, and staff at the front desk can point you to the room when you arrive.
Ages 14 and up may take part. GoggleWorks asks for written permission for students under 18 enrolled in an adult course, so contact the programs office ahead of time if that applies. Registration closes five business days before the first session and is handled on the class page. Scholarships are available through GoggleWorks.
