About the class
All 2 meetings

- Fri, Oct 9, 2026, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
This two part workshop at GoggleWorks pairs hot glass with candle making. On the first evening you work in the hot shop to make your own glass vessel and learn about glassblowing. On the second evening you return to mix and pour a scented soy candle, using phthalate free fragrance oils and locally sourced soy wax, led in collaboration with ShePaintsCo. You go home with the finished piece you made.
The class is open to all skill levels and is listed for adults. Sessions run Wednesday and Friday from 6 to 8 PM in the Glassblowing Studio, Building 5, on the GoggleWorks campus at 201 Washington St in Reading. Closed toe shoes are required, and students with long hair need a hair tie.
Registration and full class policies are on the GoggleWorks page for the workshop at goggleworks.org/classes/candle-making-in-glassblown-vessels/. Registration closes five business days before the start date, so plan ahead if you want a spot.
