Learn the fundamentals of crochet in a class built for complete newcomers. Instructor Alex Crawford covers how to hold the hook and yarn, how to make basic stitches, and how to work granny squares. By the end you will have finished a beginner project and have the skills to keep crocheting on your own.
The class meets on Wednesday evenings in the Textiles Studio, room 316, on the third floor of GoggleWorks at 201 Washington Street in Reading. It is open to all skill levels and welcomes teens age 14 and up along with adults. Students under 18 enrolling in an adult course need written permission from a parent or guardian.
Sign up through the class page on the GoggleWorks website. Registration closes five business days before the class begins so the instructor can prepare. GoggleWorks also offers scholarships for its classes.
