Enameled Keychain Metalsmithing Workshop for Adults
Starts Thu, Oct 15, 6:00 PM · Member: $68.00 / Non-Member: $80.00

About the workshop
Spend an evening learning plique-a-jour enameling, a technique often compared to miniature stained glass. You will make translucent enamel panels held within a metal framework, so light shines through the finished design. The project is a keychain you take with you.
Instructor Justin George covers frame construction, applying the enamel, firing and finishing. The workshop is open to all skill levels and runs as a single Thursday evening session in the Metalsmithing Studio in Building 6 at GoggleWorks, 201 Washington St in Reading. Closed-toe shoes are required.
This is an adult class. Students under 18 need written permission from a parent or guardian, so contact the GoggleWorks programs office ahead of time if you are enrolling a minor. Sign up through the class page on the GoggleWorks website.
