Flameworked Acorns Glass Workshop at GoggleWorks
Starts Sat, Oct 17, 1:00 PM · Member: $80.75 / Non-Member: $95.00 · Ages 16 and up

About the workshop
This single session workshop is an introduction to borosilicate glass and the torch. Working at the flame, you melt and sculpt a glass acorn by hand and take it home. Nikki Vitchner teaches, and the workshop is open to all skill levels, so no glass experience is needed.
The class meets in the Flameworking Studio in Building 6 on the GoggleWorks campus at 201 Washington Street in Reading. If you are not sure where to go, staff at the front desk can point you to the studio.
Wear closed-toe shoes and natural fabrics such as cotton, and tie back long hair before you work in the studio. The workshop is for teens 16 and up and adults; students under 18 enrolled in an adult course need written permission from a parent or guardian. Saturday afternoon sessions run from 1 PM to 4 PM. Sign up through the GoggleWorks class page for this workshop.
