About the workshop
In this single evening workshop at GoggleWorks, you learn the basics of fusing glass and make a draped pendant light for your own home. You practice cutting, shaping and designing glass, then set up your piece so it takes on its curved pendant form. The workshop is open to all skill levels, so no prior glass experience is needed.
The session runs on a Sunday from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM and meets in the Fusing Studio in Building 6 on the GoggleWorks campus at 201 Washington St in Reading. Closed-toe shoes are required. If you are not sure where to go, staff at the front desk can point you to the right building.
The workshop is for teens ages 14 and up and adults. Students under 18 who enroll in an adult course need written permission from a parent or guardian, which GoggleWorks arranges by email. Registration is online through the class page, and it closes five business days before the session begins.
