This ceramics class at GoggleWorks focuses on home accents built by hand. You shape pieces like wall pockets, vases and lanterns using slab, coil and sculpting methods, so no wheel work is needed. Over the run of the class you cover construction, glazing and finishing, and you leave with decor you made yourself.
The class is open to adults at all skill levels, from first time clay users to people who have worked with it before. Sessions meet Fridays from 10 AM to 1 PM for five sessions, and the current run goes from October 23 to November 20. Class meets in the Ceramics Auxiliary Classroom 301 on the third floor of GoggleWorks, 201 Washington St in Reading.
