This class covers how DJing works from the ground up. Students learn the basics of music theory, get hands on with DJ equipment and software, practice mixing techniques, and look at what goes into performing live for a crowd. It is open to all skill levels, so it suits people who want DJing as a hobby, a creative outlet or a possible career direction. Sessions are taught in both English and Spanish.
The class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 PM to 8 PM for 12 sessions, and is held in the Custom It Co. Suites on the fifth floor of GoggleWorks, 201 Washington St in Reading. If you are unsure where to go, staff at the front desk can point you to the room.
The course is listed for adults. Students under 18 enrolling in an adult course need written permission from a parent or guardian, arranged with GoggleWorks ahead of the start date.
