This jewelry class at GoggleWorks Center for the Arts focuses on loop and loop chain. You learn to fuse fine silver wire into solid loops, then form those loops into several kinds of links used in chain making. You put the chain together with a clasp to finish a bracelet you can wear or give as a gift.
The class is open to all skill levels and is intended for adults. It meets on Mondays from 6 PM to 9 PM for five sessions and is taught by Lukas Kohler. Sessions are held in the Metalsmithing Studio in Building 6 at GoggleWorks, 201 Washington St in Reading. Closed toe shoes are required.
Registration is handled on the GoggleWorks class page at https://goggleworks.org/classes/jewelry-making-loop-and-loop-bracelet/. Registration closes five business days before the start of class, and you will receive an email confirmation after you sign up. Members and non members pay different rates, and scholarships are available through GoggleWorks.
