Learn to Turn is a woodturning class at GoggleWorks Center for the Arts in Reading. You work on the lathe and pick up the core techniques behind turned wood projects, such as bowls, pens and decorative pieces. It is built for beginners, and all skill levels are welcome. Mike Kuterbach is the instructor.
The group meets Mondays from 6 PM to 9 PM for six sessions at 201 Washington St. Class takes place in the Woodworking Studio on the first floor, and staff at the front desk can point you there when you arrive. Closed-toe shoes are required.
Teens 16 and up and adults can take part. Students under 18 enrolled in an adult course need written permission, which GoggleWorks provides by email before the start date. Sign up through the class page on the GoggleWorks website, where you can also join a waitlist if the session is full.
