October Solar Fast Tote Bags Maker Date
Starts Fri, Oct 30, 6:00 PM · $71.00

About the workshop
This is a Maker Date evening at GoggleWorks, where you and your date each make a SolarFast tote bag. You will use sunlight, photographic methods and playful experimental techniques to build color and image on fabric. The session is open to all skill levels, so no prior darkroom or printing experience is needed. Instructor Alex Crawford leads the workshop.
The evening includes a shared charcuterie spread from Chef Harley and your choice of a draft beverage from Thorn Alley Kitchen, the restaurant on the first floor. Work takes place in the Darkroom, Studio 233, on the second floor. Wear clothes you do not mind marking.
Tuition covers one person, so register each attendee separately. Optional add-ons offered at registration include a multi-course dinner at Thorn Alley Kitchen before the workshop and a supervised drop off for potty-trained children, which includes pizza and a craft. Registration closes five business days before the class starts, and you can sign up through the GoggleWorks class page. Scholarships are available through GoggleWorks.
