About the workshop
This one evening workshop at GoggleWorks introduces the basics of woodturning, and you leave having made a pen you can use. Mike Keiser covers the tools, the core techniques and the safety practices that go with working at the lathe.
The session is open to all skill levels, so it suits people new to woodworking as well as those adding a technique to what they already do. It meets on a Wednesday from 6 PM to 9 PM in the Woodworking Studio on the first floor, and it is set up for teens ages 14 and up along with adults. Closed toe shoes are required.
GoggleWorks is at 201 Washington Street in Reading. Registration is handled on the class page at goggleworks.org, where you will also find the center's policies on payment, withdrawals and permission forms for students under 18.
