About the workshop
Make your own glass pumpkin in the Hot Glass Studio at GoggleWorks during Pumpkin Palooza, the center's fall event in Reading. You work at the furnace with help from the hot glass artists, shaping and coloring a pumpkin of your own. The session is open to all skill levels, so no glass experience is needed, and it is set up for ages 14 and up.
Dress for studio work: wear natural fabrics such as cotton rather than polyester, and tie back long hair. Your pumpkin needs time to cool and finish, so it will be ready about one to two weeks after the event. GoggleWorks will email you when it is ready to pick up.
Pumpkin Palooza itself is a free family event with fall games, kids' activities, arts and crafts, and handmade glass pumpkins for sale. The make your own sessions run in short timed slots through the day, and spots are limited, so book ahead on the GoggleWorks class page for this workshop.
