Spooky Scroll Saw
Starts Tue, Oct 20, 6:00 PM · Member: $72.25 / Non-Member: $85.00 · Ages 16 and up

About the workshop
Spend one evening in the Woodworking Studio at GoggleWorks making cutouts for Halloween or Dia de los Muertos. You draw a design on wood, then use the scroll saw to follow your lines and cut out skulls, bats, spirits or any other spooky shape you come up with. The scroll saw is one of the more approachable tools in the woodshop, so beginners are welcome alongside people with more shop time.
This workshop is open to all skill levels, and the instructor listed is Paola Mateo, who teaches in English and Spanish. The class meets on the first floor of the GoggleWorks campus at 201 Washington Street in Reading. Closed-toe shoes are required. Plan to leave with a decoration you designed and cut yourself.
Register through the class page on the GoggleWorks site. Registration closes five business days before the class date, so sign up early. Students under 18 who join an adult course need written permission from a parent or guardian. If you have anything that would help staff support your experience in the studio, add a note when you register.
