Autumn Moon Tai Chi
Starts Sun, Sep 20, 4:00 PM · $15

About the class
This is an outdoor tai chi session at Nolde Forest Environmental Education Center, held near the Mansion Garden. Guest presenter Alice Perry of A Third Eye Energy Arts leads a set of slow, flowing movements that draw on the themes of the autumn season: the moon, the sky, and the turning of the year.
The moves are simple and easy to follow, so beginners and experienced practitioners can both take part. The pace is gentle, with breathing coordinated to each movement, and the set stretches and strengthens muscles and connective tissue while settling the mind. Afterward the group shares seasonal treats and conversation. Dress for standing and moving outdoors in the forest.
The session is for adults. Registration and payment are required in advance through the DCNR events page, spaces are limited, and walk-up participants cannot be accepted. The program is a fundraiser for the Friends of Nolde Forest. Questions can go to rsheeler@pa.gov.
