In Berks County a sponsorship that puts your name in front of families starts at about $100 for a thank-you at a 5K's registration table (as of 2026) or your name listed on a festival's sponsor banner. Your name on a youth baseball league's outfield banner or jerseys for a season runs $250 to $450, and your own banner at a festival or a stadium, or a multi-year sign at the fields, runs $250 to $1,200. The big checks, $5,000 to $20,000, buy a title or presenting sponsorship, or the top package. Many organizations print the price on their own sponsor sheet, so you can know it before you call, and the thing to ask on the call is who'll see your name and for how long.

The asks arrive the same way whether you run a pizza shop, an insurance agency or one of the companies in the home services category. The job is to pick two sponsorships that reach your own customers, one that reaches the families you serve and one that reaches the people who refer you. The table below is a sample of the sheets organizations publish, not every organization in the county.

Each price is from the organization's sponsor sheet or page, or for Daniel Boone its published call for sponsors, as it stood on October 16, 2026; the last column is the year printed on it.

Organization What the sponsor gets, from the low end to the high Price Sheet year
Daniel Boone Athletic Association, Douglassville Your name on an outfield-wall banner or on a team's jerseys for a season; both together at the top of the range $250 to $450 2026
Oley Valley Youth League, Oley A team sponsorship for a season (sign board, uniform, website), up to a benefactor level that bundles a 4-by-8-foot sign at the fields for three years, sign-making included, with a year of team sponsorships $300 to $1,500 2026 page (detail sheet dated 2023)
Wyomissing Area Soccer Club, Wyomissing A website listing for a year, up to your logo on the youth program shirts for two years $500 to $2,000 and up Page © 2021
Exeter Township School District A 6-by-12-foot banner at Don Thomas Stadium: spring season at the low end, fall season in the middle, the full school year at the top $500 to $1,000 Undated card
Reading Hospital Road Run, West Reading Name and logo on the event page, up to the title sponsorship, with your name and logo on all the race's marketing and materials and 24 registrations $500 to $20,000 2026
Oley Valley Community Education Foundation 5K (the Zackon 5K), Oley Recognition at the registration table, up to a large logo on the shirt $100 to $1,000 2026
Taste of Hamburg-er Festival, Hamburg Name in the festival guide, a banner from the second rung, a vendor space from the third, up to the title sponsorship $250 to $10,000 2026
Community Days (Greater Governor Mifflin League), Shillington Name on the website and the midway slideshow, then the stage banner, then your own banner on the stage, up to presenting sponsor for the week $150 to $20,000 2026 form
Greater Reading Chamber Alliance Picnic and Games A sponsor sign and four tickets, up to exclusive naming rights for the picnic; the crowd is about 500 chamber members $1,000 to $10,000 2026
Berks Fiddle Fest, Fleetwood A listing on the sponsor banner, up to your logo on the main-stage banner $100 to $3,000 2024

The price tracks how big the thing is and how long your name stays on it: a program lasts a day, a jersey a season, a sign at the fields three years.

What a youth league sponsorship costs in Berks County.

A youth league team sponsorship is priced for a season. The Daniel Boone Athletic Association in Douglassville sells an outfield-wall banner or a team jersey sponsorship at $250 each, or both for $450.

The Oley Valley Youth League sells a team sponsorship for one season at $300, with your name on the sign board and the team's uniform or warm-up, or a 4-by-8-foot sign at the fields for three years at $800 with the sign-making included. The Wyomissing Area Soccer Club's three levels run $500 to $2,000 and up and buy a website listing and your logo on the youth shirts, not a fence banner.

So which league? I'd pick the one whose fields sit closest to the neighborhoods you already serve, because a parent who sees your name on the jersey every Saturday is a parent who lives inside your service area.

What a high school stadium banner costs.

A school district banner hangs for a whole athletic season. The Exeter Township School District's rate card prices a 6-by-12-foot banner at Don Thomas Stadium by the season, with fall costing more than spring and the full school year costing the most.

What a fire company, a church bulletin or a township event charges.

The Amity Fire Company's golf tournament sells a hole sign on its own or a tournament sponsorship that includes a foursome, dinner and the sign. For a carnival, I'd call the fire company and ask which sponsorships it offers for its events and what they cost.

At St. Ignatius of Loyola in Sinking Spring, the bulletin's publisher sells the ad squares around the parish news, and the parish tells its advertisers the bulletin is seen by over 1,000 families weekly. The publisher's rep, whose number is printed in the bulletin, quotes the ad.

Douglass Township's 2026 events took sponsors from $100 up, from a booth at one event to a premier booth with table and chairs, with the form due in March; ask the township office about the next year's sheet.

What a 5K or a festival sponsorship costs.

A 5K puts your name on runners. The Reading Hospital Road Run prints eight tiers, from your name and logo on the event page up to the title sponsor, the one business whose name and logo go on all the race's marketing and materials. The GRIP 5K Run for Dreamers at Schlegel Park starts at $250 for your name on the shirt and two entries, and the Oley Valley Community Education Foundation's Zackon 5K runs from recognition at the registration table to a large logo on the shirt.

Festivals work the same way with more rungs. The Taste of Hamburg-er Festival sells your name in the guide at the bottom, a banner in the middle, a vendor space above that, and a $10,000 title. Community Days in Shillington, run by the Greater Governor Mifflin League, sells $150 for your name on the website and the midway slideshow, $300 for your name on the oversized banner beside the stage, $600 for your logo on that banner plus nightly recognition over the loudspeaker, and $1,200 for your own banner on the entertainment stage, with $10,000 and $20,000 presenting levels for the stage and the festival above that.

How many people will see your name?

The Daniel Boone league serves more than 400 children, and St. Ignatius reaches over 1,000 families weekly. The Taste of Kutztown draws over 2,000 attendees, the Fiddle Fest attracts over 3,000 people annually, and the Greater Reading Chamber's picnic draws about 500 business members, a business crowd rather than families.

For everyone else the crowd size is a question for the call. Ask four things: how many people, which people (parents of players, runners, chamber members or a festival crowd), how often they'll see your name, and for how long. When a baseball league and a fire company both ask in the same month, the one whose crowd is your customers wins, and those four questions decide it. A fire company without a sheet answers the same four questions on the phone. A newspaper, radio or billboard buy is a different decision, and our guide to where to advertise in Berks County walks through it.

When do you have to commit, and how long does it stay up?

Many sponsor sheets carry a commit date, the day the organization needs your yes to print you on the shirt or banner. In 2026 the Road Run needed an answer by September 12, and the Zackon 5K takes sponsors through October 23.

Prices follow the season too. Exeter's stadium banner costs more for the fall than the spring, and a youth league team sponsorship covers one season, so a spring ask and a fall ask are two checks. The habit I'd build is to ask three dates on every call: when the banner goes up, when it comes down, and when they need an answer.

Questions Berks owners ask about sponsorships.

What the IRS small-business guide says about sponsorship checks.

Publication 334, the small-business tax guide, lists advertising among the expenses a business may deduct and charitable contributions among what you usually can't deduct as a business expense. On the nonprofit's side, your name, logo or slogan on a banner counts as an acknowledgment, the tax word for a plain name-and-logo thank-you. A message with price information or an inducement to buy counts as advertising, and that line decides whether the nonprofit owes tax on the payment. Whether your own check is advertising or a gift on your return is a question for your tax preparer.

Do I supply the banner?

At Exeter you do, with design, setup and printing at approximately $175, and the banner stays yours for renewals. Oley's sign includes the sign-making; on any other sheet, ask whether the price includes the banner.

What's the cheapest way to get in front of families?

The $100 to $150 rows: a listing on the Berks Fiddle Fest's sponsor banner, recognition at the Zackon 5K's registration table, or your name on the Community Days website. On those three sheets the next rung up adds a banner or a shirt.

Pick the two that put your name where your customers already stand, call with the price in hand, and ask who'll see it and for how long. A parent who saw the banner will look you up, so claim your free BerksConnect listing before the banner goes up, and when those customers come in, ask them for a review; how to get more Google reviews shows how.
