Expertise & Professionalism You Can Trust

Dr. Rude’s reputation speaks for itself. As one long-time client puts it, “Dr. Rude knows what he is doing. He’s seen all my family dogs since I was a child.” That depth of experience—from routine exams to complex diagnoses—means he can confidently guide you through every health concern. His calm, professional demeanor reassures anxious pets and owners alike. Many clients praise not only his technical skills but also his patience: “He’s attentive, professional, knowledgeable, priced very cheap compared to others in Berks County.” With decades of hands-on experience, Dr. Rude has cultivated a practice defined by sound medical judgment and genuine compassion.

Affordable, Transparent Pricing

One of the biggest worries for pet parents is the cost of veterinary care. At Animal Clinic of Reading, you’ll discover pricing that won’t break the bank. Clients consistently note how Dr. Rude’s fees are “phenomenal, incomparable to any other vet/clinic in the area.” From vaccines to dental cleanings, each service is priced fairly and transparently—with no hidden office fees tacked on. Even emergency visits carry rates that allow you to focus on your pet’s urgent needs instead of worrying about the bill. As one happy dog owner recalls, “Had an emergency with my puppy. He got her right in and the price was so low—for visit and medication.”

Personalized Care & Thoughtful Follow-Up

At Animal Clinic of Reading, veterinary appointments are never a quick in-and-out. Dr. Rude and his team take the time to explain every facet of your pet’s care plan in clear, down-to-earth language. One client remarks, “He took his time when explaining everything I needed to know.” What truly sets this practice apart is the genuine concern you feel long after you leave the clinic. Consistently, clients mention those thoughtful follow-up calls: “He always calls to check up after my pet’s visit,” and, “He even called a few days later to check up on her.” It’s this level of ongoing engagement that transforms routine checkups into enduring relationships.

Convenience & Accessibility

Busy schedules and sudden pet emergencies can make it hard to plan visits weeks in advance. That’s why Animal Clinic of Reading welcomes walk-ins and same-day appointments—without adding extra office fees. When your dog or cat is under the weather, you can simply drop by and be seen promptly. “They accept walk-ins and you don’t need to pay an office fee,” one reviewer appreciates, while another adds, “Scheduled me for the next day and we were in and out of the office within 15 minutes.” No more waiting rooms packed with stressed owners or worrying about urgent care surcharges: just straightforward, friendly service when you need it most.

Community Commitment & Outreach

Beyond everyday care, Animal Clinic of Reading demonstrates its dedication to the greater Reading community through periodic clinics offering free vaccinations and microchipping. These no-cost services ensure pets across all income levels have access to essential preventive care. “Free shots and microchipping. Everyone was extremely nice,” notes one grateful pet parent. This proactive approach not only keeps individual animals healthier but also raises the standard of wellness for the entire neighborhood.

Stepping through the doors of Animal Clinic of Reading feels less like entering a sterile institution and more like visiting a friend’s home—if that friend happened to be an exceptionally skilled veterinarian. Friendly staff members greet you by name, and familiar faces are ready to greet your pet with a scratch behind the ears.
