Exceptional Value & Designer Finds

Shoppers consistently praise Boscov’s for unbeatable pricing and frequent sales events. Our reputation for value shines through in moments like scoring a high-end Adrienne Vittadini tote—retail $210—on clearance for just $35, then applying gift cards to make it essentially free. Bargain hunters delight in daily markdowns across clothing, home goods, jewelry, and cosmetics. From cozy sweaters to seasonal décor, every aisle offers “buenos precios” and memorable mid-week steals. If stretching your dollar is top of mind, Boscov’s delivers both depth of inventory and depth of discount.

• Shoes & Footwear: Whether you need everyday sneakers, work-ready loafers, or evening heels, Michelle in the shoe department is renowned for anticipating size needs, keeping stocks organized, and following up to ensure the perfect fit.
• Optical & Specialty Services: Boscov’s optical department is a standout; patients laud the manager’s expertise and approachable style when selecting frames and lenses.

Shopping Experience & Store Layout

With so much to browse, Boscov’s expansive layout can feel like a treasure hunt—though some guests note that wide-ranging merchandise sometimes means long walks between departments. A handful of shoppers have found aisles narrow for wheelchair or scooter navigation, and accessible carts can be in short supply. While many visitors enjoy neat, well-stocked displays, occasional dust or clutter in low-traffic corners reminds us of the importance of ongoing maintenance. Clearer wayfinding signage and more accessible pathways would help everyone feel at ease. Even so, most guests appreciate exploring multiple floors of home goods, fashion, and more without ever leaving the building.

Personalized Service Across Departments

Customer service at Boscov’s Lancaster runs the gamut from warm welcomes at the front desk to department-specific highs and lows.
• Customer Service Desk: Regulars commend our friendly service reps for quick returns, gift card redemptions, and general inquiries.
• Optical Department: Time and again, patrons describe the optical manager as “very friendly and helpful,” which lends confidence to frame and lens decisions.
• Jewelry Counter: With associates like Maria guiding ring selections and Jeff’s encyclopedic watch knowledge, the jewelry counter feels more like a private atelier than a busy retail floor.
• Shoe Department: Michelle’s proactive sizing checks and follow-ups are often cited as “service like the good old days.”
On the flip side, a few customers mention brusque encounters in certain aisles. We see those experiences as opportunities to reinforce our commitment to hospitality and training.

Checkout & Online Convenience

Once your cart is full, finding an open register can sometimes be a challenge. Shoppers have reported long walks across the store in search of payment points and minimal signage to direct traffic. Online ordering and in-store pickup also draw mixed reviews: some find the website’s navigation confusing and recall little notification when their orders arrive. At Boscov’s, we recognize these pain points—your feedback underlines the importance of clear digital prompts, timely alerts, and strategically placed registers to streamline every visit.
