Five Below

Nestled just off the main concourse of the Berkshire Mall in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, Five Below is your go-to destination for gift shop treasures, candy store delights, fashion accessories, toys, and an ever-changing variety of lifestyle finds. From bright décor that sparks joy to bargain prices that keep wallets happy, Five Below delivers a unique shopping experience tailored to families, teens, and bargain hunters alike.

A World of Surprises Under (and Just Above) $5

True to its name, Five Below offers hundreds of items priced at $5 or less. Shoppers rave about useful tech accessories—think charging wires and power blocks that outperform expectations—and novelty gifts, like the ever-popular dart board game that customers call “very amazing…pretty cheap…and a blast to play.”

That said, some savvy shoppers have noticed a growing selection of items tagged at $5.95 and beyond. While this slight price creep can initially raise an eyebrow (“It’s not ‘5 Below’ anymore—more like 5.95!”), many agree the value remains unbeatable. Whether you’re picking up a heat/cool eyemask for just $3 or splurging on a specialty toy, you’ll often find quality that rivals—and sometimes exceeds—big-box retailers.

Store Atmosphere & Organization

Step inside Five Below, and you’re greeted by vibrant walls, colorful displays, and upbeat music that energizes a late-night shopping run—or wakes you up after a nocturnal adventure. Customers frequently note the store’s clean, well-stocked aisles and clear signage, making it easy to locate everything from candy classics to seasonal décor.

Of course, a lively soundtrack and popular items can mean crowded corners or music that’s “a bit too loud.” But many say that even in peak hours, the cheerful ambience and eye-catching layout turn every visit into a small celebration of discovery.

Friendly Faces & the Impact of Great Leadership

Behind the tidy shelves and stocked merchandise stands a dedicated team that strives to make each guest feel welcome. Numerous reviewers praise the staff’s helpfulness and genuine warmth:
“Love, love, love 5 Below—the workers are always nice and always helping people.”

Driving that positive energy is store leader Nicole, whose “hard work ensuring the shelves are stocked and everything is organized” doesn’t go unnoticed. Shoppers credit her proactive approach for creating a smoother browsing experience and fostering an upbeat team spirit throughout the store.

Checkout Experience: Room for Improvement

While many aspects of Five Below earn high marks, the checkout process has drawn mixed feedback in Wyomissing. A shift toward self-checkout stations has left some shoppers feeling boxed in: “I couldn’t get through with my basket and my kid.” A few have even questioned the pressure to rate their visit—“She was automatically pushing 9 as an answer”—casting a shadow over an otherwise bright finale.

If you prefer a personal touch, keep an eye out for staffed lanes and peak-hour cashiers. The team is constantly refining the process to keep lines moving and ensure every customer leaves satisfied.

Location & Accessibility

Conveniently located inside the mall, Five Below benefits from shared foot traffic—but as many locals point out, parking can be a headache. With limited spots in the lot and indirect access through mall corridors, you may need a few extra minutes to find your way. Plan ahead for busy weekends or opt for off-peak shopping to skip the scramble.

Quality, Variety & That “Hidden Gem” Feeling

Part of Five Below’s charm lies in its treasure-hunt environment. You never know when you’ll uncover a plush toy with surprising heft, a best-selling board game, or a chic pair of earrings that look far pricier than their price tag. While some items can feel “not worth buying,” many customers are delighted by dependable staples—like the affordable charging wires and blocks that keep devices powered for less than larger electronics stores charge.

From seasonal candies and novelty treats to fashion finds and compact tech, the curated selection ensures that every trip uncovers at least one standout item.
